Motion Impossible

This video was created by me and the boys in response to the Japanese mathematician who solved the mystery of hill magnet. He solved the mystery that made people wonder for years if not decade how an object move uphill by itself.

If you are interested to know how it was made to work...just make a comment. Thank you and hopefully you enjoy with this clip. God bless.

1st of July

I can't recall how many times we visited Niagara Falls since we moved here in Canada, but yesterday's visit was special because that was the first time we celebrated  Canada Day there.

We departed home after lunch and stayed there until 11 pm. Due to  traffic we got home at around 2 am. The weather was cooperating well, it was perfect for staying outdoor.

We never expected the huge turnout. We saw people from different nations, different race and different cultures who came and celebrated Canada day at the place ( I think that's what Canada is all about). The celebration was awesome! from the waterfalls, beautiful gardens, colored lights that spotted the waterfalls, the band and most of all the fireworks. That was really a fun day.

Prayer

Listening to the testimony of one of the ladies who were baptized last Sunday, I realized how blessed I am as a father. She's so grateful that she has a son that knows how to pray. It was his son's prayer for her to become christian and follower of Jesus Christ. While listening to her testimony, my eldest son proudly elbowed my side and manage to show a slight smile from his face. I was not sure whether his  flattery was  because of the believe that he's also a teen who depends on prayer and constantly communicating to God  or because the testimony boost his confidence that God answer prayers according to His will.

To have sons who pray is a blessing.

My son just completed JK

Time flies. When did my sons grow so fast. My eldest will soon enter his last year of high school. My second son will be in grade 6 and my youngest just completed his JK year. Eric(youngest) asked me the other night how God created belly hole (belly button) while looking at my almost bulging tummy. We all had a big laugh.

My first panning shot

This is my first panning shot with Nikon D90.

In photography, panning refers to the horizontal movement or rotation of a still or video camera, or the scanning of a subject horizontally on video or a display device. Panning a camera results in a motion similar to that of someone shaking their head "no" or of an aircraft performing a yaw rotation.
Movie and television cameras pan by turning horizontally on a vertical axis, but the effect may be enhanced by adding other techniques, such as rails to move the whole camera platform. Slow panning is also combined with zooming in or out on a single subject, leaving the subject in the same portion of the frame, to emphasize or de-emphasize the subject respectively.

Attempted to be scammed

The supposed buyer of my AC who claimed to be in Germany for a business trip was a big scam. He sent payment through UPS by money order ( of course a fake money order). For the $200 AC, he sent a $1000 money order and instructed me to send the rest to Africa for the shipper who will pick up the item once the payment is confirmed (ridiculous). The incident was already reported to the police.

Lesson learned, never sell anything in the internet via third party payment ( of course except paypal or some other proven method). As soon as you hear western union payment, run.

My AC was already sold to the gentleman who personally picked up the item and paid me cash.

AC Sold

After 2 days of posting at kijiji, the vertical window AC was considered sold. The buyer is in the process of sending the payment via UPS by money order. Hopefully, I'll receive the payment in 2 days.

Posted my window AC at kijiji for sale

Just posted my window AC for sale at kijiji. So far got 23 views in 1 day although no calls or inquiry yet. I paid $338 CAD for this AC from canadian tire and used it for just 2 days. My wife insisted of having a central AC for the whole house instead. Attempted to return the item to the store but was not accepted. When I bought this item, I was not aware that it has no satisfaction-guarantee policy that comes along with it. It was very unfortunate as we are in the process of cutting our expenses. Another lesson learned.

Another way of getting better deals at hotel

Paying cheap doesn't always mean you get poor service or inferior product. In planning a trip, looking for a quality, but affordable hotel or a place to stay is always one of the challenges especially if you're traveling with your family. We always want the best we can afford for our love ones. I experienced booking through different internet sites and so far nothing is cheaper than priceline.com. I always bid for the highest star available for the area. The average price for a 4-star hotel I paid so far was $70US/room and $45US/room for a 3-star hotel. Those were very good deals considering that the regular price for each were $200US/room for 4-star and $130US/room for 3-star hotels. The key of getting the best deals through this site is research: Spending time to know the area of interest, what hotels available for bidding are and how much the historical winning bids for each categorized hotel.
